Nova Scotia Power says it will have its automatic billing system back online by the end of March. The system went down after a cyberattack earlier last year. A spokesperson says meters tracked energy use, but the network that sends that information for billing went down during the attack. NPS says about 400,000 meters are working properly. The company says that once the system is fully functional, anyone with a balance owing on their account should call to arrange an interest-free, equal billing plan over a year.
