Nova Scotia Power Breach Update

Credit histories, social insurance numbers, information about driver’s licences and bank accounts are all part of the Nova Scotia data breach. The utility also says some customers’ names, ages, phone numbers, email and service addresses have been stolen. The company gave an update today. Nova Scotia Power’s servers were breached in March, and information was accessed and then stolen by an unauthorized third party. The company is warning customers to watch out for unsolicited emails that look like they are from Nova Scotia Power. The company has started to notify customers.
