Ontario’s Marineland won’t be sending its whales to Nova Scotia. The shuttered attraction has been given conditional approval to move its whales to American aquariums. Federal Minister of Fisheries Joanne Thompson posted to X that she met with Marineland. She writes she has provided conditional approval for export permits, and will issue the final permits once final required information is received from Marineland. She adds her decision was based on the whales' best interests.
