Drought conditions continue across Nova Scotia, and now the Town of Bridgewater is asking residents to conserve water. Officials say the voluntary water conservation measures are necessary because a lack of rainfall has led to reduced watershed levels. All water customers are asked to reduce water usage to help ease demands on source water lakes in the area. Several suggestions on how to conserve water can be found at https://www.gorock.ca/water. The Town of Mahone Bay issued a mandatory water restriction in late September.
