Lunenburg is still accepting applications from residents for its Lead and Copper Management Program. Ten residents will be selected from all the applications, with priority given to residents whose homes were built before 1975 and are likely to have construction materials that present a higher risk of containing lead and copper. Water will be tested this summer and tested in a lab for lead and copper levels. If those levels exceed Health Canada Guidelines, residents will be notified and given advice.
