It was a tense few hours yesterday in downtown Halifax. Halifax police evacuated several streets as they investigated a bomb threat and suspicious vehicle at Purdy’s Wharf. An emergency alert got people out of offices on parts of Upper Water and Barrington Streets. A man was arrested, and the emergency alert was lifted around 2:00.
