The Nova Scotia RCMP and the Canada Anti-Fraud Centre are sounding the alarm about a tax scam. The two agencies say there has been a rise in phishing emails and texts impersonating the Canada Revenue Agency. The messages may say that you are owed a refund and ask you to click on a link. The CRA will not ask you to click a link to view your Notice of Assessment. The best bet is to delete the email and view your Notice of Assessment through the CRA’s official website.
