Even though the wildfire in the Tantallon area has been declared contained, fire crews continue to keep an eye on it. HRM sent out an alert yesterday saying that there was no threat to residents or structures at this time. As a reminder ahead of the long weekend, a total fire ban was announced across the province because of hot and tinder-dry conditions. The ban will remain in place until October 15th or until conditions improve.
