The Canadian Coast Guard’s Inshore Rescue Boat station in Mahone Bay will close its doors today for the season. The program staffs and trains post-secondary students to provide support for maritime search and rescue efforts during the busy summer season. Nine stations were operational throughout the Maritimes this summer. The Canadian Coast Guard will continue 24/7 service year round.
