A Nova Scotia RCMP officer has been charged with sexual assault and other related offenses. Constable William McNutt, who has been with the RCMP for just over two years, was suspended from his duties in January following allegations of sexual misconduct. The charges come after an independent investigation by the Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team. McNutt is scheduled to appear in court on September 9 and is also facing an internal code of conduct process. The RCMP takes these allegations seriously and expects its employees to meet high standards of conduct.
