Queens Home Care, a provider of in-home care services for the elderly, will be ending their services in January. The company has been offering personal care, mobility assistance, and meal preparation for over 40 years, serving around 170 clients and employing 60 people. The Nova Scotia Department of Seniors is actively seeking a replacement agency to take over the services and is already in discussions with interested organizations. The goal is to ensure a seamless transition and retain as much of the current staff as possible.
