The province is funding transit services in the province to the tune of $925,000. Six transit services are receiving money, including the town of Bridgewater, which will get $25,000. The province says the money will help operate a fixed-route service and buy vehicles, bus terminals, shelters and other capital assets.
Other communities receiving funding include:
- Tidal Transit $375,000
- Antigonish Community Transit Society $25,000
- Cape Breton Regional Municipality, $425,000
- Pictou County Transit Co-operative Ltd. $50,000
