The province says it has cancelled contracts with two American companies. It’s in response to U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods. The value of the cancelled contracts is $130,000. The government did not renew contracts with another nine American suppliers. Premier Tim Houston says his government will continue to look for ways to end business ties with U.S. companies and use Canadian suppliers instead.
