The premier of Nova Scotia is shocked by the nine new tent sites chosen by the Halifax Regional Municipality to alleviate overcrowding in encampments. Tim Houston, the premier, finds the selection of popular tourist attractions like Point Pleasant Park and the Halifax Commons to be completely nuts. The other locations include Bayers Road Windsor Street Park, BiHi Park, Chain Lake Park, Cogswell Park, Glebe Street Park, Geary Street green space, and Bissett Road Park. Houston is working with HRM on over 40 possible sites but emphasizes the need to consider the impact on communities and Nova Scotians.
