Sarah Mitton, who won silver in shotput last year, is heading to her second Summer games and is a top contender for a gold medal. Halifax's four-time Olympian Ellie Black will aim to win her first gymnastics medal. The Chester sisters, Antonia and Georgia Lewin-LaFrance, will compete in sailing. Other athletes from Nova Scotia will participate in boxing, swimming, and canoe/kayak events.
In total, ten athletes from Nova Scotia are in Paris for the Olympic Summer games.
