A new low even for scam artists. Halifax search and rescue says people are impersonating the organization, asking for money to help find Lilly and Jack Sullivan. The siblings have been missing from their home in Pictou County since May 2nd. Search and rescue says they don’t use third-party platforms like GoFundMe or ask for donations based on individual searches. An organization spokesperson says they just learned of two campaigns asking for donations to use a drone to search for the children. The organization has had both GoFundMe campaigns pulled down.
