The province says progress is being made finding Nova Scotians a primary care provider. Nova Scotia Health says the Need a Family Practice Registry has dropped by 6,500 people and stands at more than 77,000. According to the authority, 7.3 per cent are still in need of a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
