The CEO of Nova Scotia Power says a Russian-based threat actor group is believed to be behind a cyber attack that has crippled the company and put customers’ personal information at risk. Peter Gregg told MLAs at a legislative committee Tuesday the utility has made investments in cybersecurity and is on track to have all customers' social insurance numbers removed from the system by March 31st. He also says that by the end of March, customer meters will be reconnected to the billing system. And outstanding payments to contractors should be paid up by the end of this year.
