A class action lawsuit has been filed against Nova Scotia Power. MacGillivray Law filed the paperwork on Friday. The suit alleges that the utility failed to protect consumers from a cybersecurity threat and may have overcharged thousands of customers. The lawsuit has not yet been certified by the court, but if it is, Nova Scotia Power customers would be able to participate as a large group instead of filing claims individually. There has been no public response from the utility to the suit.
