More money is on the way to first responder organizations in the province to buy equipment. The expanded Emergency Services Provider Fund will now accept applications from individual organizations for up to $30,000, an increase of $10,000 over last year. That fund will also cover 90 per cent of the costs, up from 75 per cent. Applications close July 30th. A new regional category will provide up to $200,000 for multiple emergency response organizations in an area. Applications for the regional category open on the first of September.
