Lunenburg Town Council has denied an application to amend the land use bylaw for two locations on Brook Street. The application requested two amendments including: a change from Commercial Mixed Use to General Commercial for both lots and a change from Old Town/New Town 1 to Marine form zoning. The developer asked for the amendments to build a fully residential building that would include ground-floor units. While the decision does not prevent development at the sites, any new development must meet the requirements of the existing bylaw.
