Lunenburg District RCMP are investigating the theft of lobster valued at more than $13,000 and are asking for the public’s help.

Police say officers responded to a report of a break and enter at a commercial property on Upper Blandford Road in Deep Cove just after 10:20 Saturday morning, December 21.

Investigators believe one or more suspects forced the door locks to gain entry and stole 13 crates of lobster. The theft is believed to have occurred between 3:00 and 3:30 that morning.

RCMP say it’s possible the lobster was removed from the property using either a truck or a boat. Each crate is marked with a paper tag.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lunenburg District RCMP or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
