A heat warning is in effect for Lunenburg County. Environment Canada says a combination of very high temperatures and high humidity will continue today, before relief is expected on Thursday night when a cold front passes through. The temperature is expected to reach 29 degrees with the humidex hitting 37. The weather agency says it will be cooler along the coast. Remember to check in on older adults, people living alone and other at-risk people by visiting or calling them several times a day.
