Some evacuees of the Long Lake fire in Annapolis Valley can begin returning home today. The province says it will be a phased in approach beginning at 9 with residents returning to all roads around Trout Lake, at 11 roads around Zwickers Lake and East Lake can return and beginning at 1:00 p.m. residents of Highway 10 and West Dalhousie Road from Highway 10 to Che-Boag-A-Nish Road; and Che-Boag-A-Nish Road can head home. At 4:00 p.m. Highway 10 will reopen to the general public. Annapolis County REMO says it is vital evacuees register their most current contact information with the Canadian Red Cross as it will be used to let residents know when re-entry for the rest of the area will be allowed.
