The National Farmers Union will lobby the federal government for a guaranteed annual income. The idea came from the group's annual convention in New Brunswick last week. Farmers will ask Ottawa to set up a 10-year pilot project that would deliver a guaranteed income of at least $50,000 per year to help stabilize their revenues. The group will also lobby for a cap on grocery chain profits.
