Two key electric utility projects have been approved by Lunenburg council. The $2.3 million projects on Dufferin Street and Green Street will help support new developments, including Harbour View Haven and the Housing Trust’s medical housing on Knickle Road. The work will also improve grid reliability, allow for future growth and modernize the system. This funding is on top of the $1.8 million approved this year for upgrades in the Knickle Road area. As planning and development continues, it was found that additional funding is needed to prevent delays in the critical electrical upgrades.
