Nova Scotia has joined a growing list of Canadian provinces that are scrapping electrical vehicle rebates for Tesla's. The idea was floated by an NDP member who suggested an amendment dropping the company, owned by Elon Musk, from the rebate program and all three parties voted in favour. The program can offer up to $3,000 in rebates for the purchase of an EV. NDP MLA Susan Leblanc says Musk has aligned with U.S. President Donald Trump in waging economic war on Canada and this is one small way to take a stand against it. Manitoba and B.C. have also banned Tesla for their rebate programs.
