Nova Scotia Health is warning that a drug found for the first time in the province is two times more powerful than fentanyl. The authority says N-Pyrrolidino metinitazene is a synthetic opioid that looks like a brownish rock with a powdery, grainy texture. The sample found in Amherst was mixed with fentanyl, cocaine, xylazine, caffeine and a tranquilizer. The drug cannot be detected using a fentanyl strip, which, according to authorities, makes it even more dangerous. Naloxone can be used to reverse opioid toxicity and call 911 for help with tranquilizer and cocaine toxicity.
