A dire warning from the Nova Scotia Seafood Alliance. The executive director says Chinese tariffs are a very strategic hit on Atlantic Canada’s seafood sector. He says the pending 25 per cent tariffs from China will result in price volatility and will affect the supply chain right down to the harvester. These only double down on the threat of tariffs from the U.S. China’s retaliatory tariffs come months after Canada levied tariffs on Chinese-made EVs and steel and aluminum.
