For 19,000 Nova Scotia seniors, the cheque’s in the mail. The province has mailed out the tax refunds to qualifying seniors who receive the federal Guaranteed Income Supplement and pay provincial income tax. The province is sending out 2,000 more cheques than last year, totalling $31 million.
