Blacklegged Ticks

We all know that Nova Scotia has its fair share of blacklegged ticks. Ticks can carry bacteria, parasites and viruses that can be spread to humans. Experts say climate change is behind a rise in Lyme Disease and anaplasmosis. They say both can be treated with antibiotics and that’s why it is important to do a thorough check for ticks after being outdoors.
