Another energy company has filed for insolvency after failing to develop tidal power in the Bay of Fundy. Occurrent, formerly known as Big Moon Power, is unable to pay its bills, according to the Nova Scotia government. This follows the failure of Sustainable Marine Energy from the UK last year. The collapse of Occurrent is a concern for the tidal industry, but the province remains open to other tidal-power projects.
