A GoFundMe account has been set up for one of the fishers who died when a vessel capsized near Halifax. Deckhand Phil MacInnis died when the Fortune Pride capsized last Thursday. MacInnis’s friend has set up the charitable account and funders have raised more than 11 thousand dollars to help the deceased’s family cope with expenses. MacInnis left behind his partner, stepchildren, father and sister. Captain John Baker also perished in the incident. The Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the capsizing.
