$6.7 million to two programs in Nova Scotia that assist homeless veterans

The federal government is providing $6.7 million to two programs in Nova Scotia that assist homeless veterans. Veterans Emergency Transition Services Canada will receive $5.2 million to help veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless. Landing Strong Cooperative Ltd. will receive $1.5 million for programs that provide financial assistance for housing and other basic needs. The funding is part of the $79.1 million Veteran Homelessness Program announced by Ottawa. The projects aim to provide stability and support for veterans in need.
