More than 30 community groups, municipalities and not-for-profits will receive $2.7 million from the province. The money invested through the Recreation Facility Development Grant program will help upgrade parks, playgrounds, trails and athletic fields. Another 18 organizations are receiving funding through the Rink Revitalization Fund. The fund helps fund improvements to accessibility and energy efficiency, keeping facilities safe, welcoming and affordable. The next application period will begin in December.
