If you don’t mind if we toot our own horn for a minute… for the second year in a row locally owned 107.9 Go Rock has won a national award. This station has again won the Sound of Success Award at the Canadian Radio Awards announced late last week by Broadcast Dialogue. The winning creative commercial submission “GO Canada 25” campaign spoke to the need to uplift the Lunenburg County economy by helping entrepreneurs grow rather than shrink during the initial implementation of the American government trade tariffs.
For the first time Go Rock’s parent company Novacast Media was named runner up for the Canadian Radio Awards in the Radio’s Community Builders category for its GO Proud digital platform, created in collaboration with Lunenburg County Pride.
