Emerging Artist for March and April

Go Rock is proud to present "Small-Town Strip Club" as our Emerging Artist of the Months

of March and April 2026

Small Town Strip Club, not the kind of strip club you’re thinking...this one's run by teachers and an engineer.

Small-Town Strip Club is a rock band from Stratford, Ontario blending alt-rock, blues-rock, southern rock, and garage grit into a sound shaped by early influences like The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, and Chris Stapleton. Formed in 2017, molded by pub gigs and sweaty nights, the band has grown and evolved from their early cover-band roots into a refined powerful original act, earning over 1.5 million combined streams, peaking above 50,000 monthly Spotify listeners. They’ve also supported Canadian rock legends Big Wreck and country favourites The James Barker Band in front of thousands, showcasing STSC’s versatility and their ability to bridge rock and country audiences. Small-Town Strip Club has been featured on major Spotify editorial playlists including Ready to Rock, Rock Favourites, Canada’s Best Rock, and North Country. STSC leveraged their Canadian roots and love for the good ol’ hockey game, by getting their song “CHEAP SHOT” featured as the intro to the world’s #1 hockey podcast, Spittin’ Chiclets—leading to an NHL All-Star Weekend performance and a national CTV feature in 2024.They’ve won multiple Battle of the Bands competitions, including Lucknow’s Music in the Fields Emerging Artist (2024), HTZ-FM’s renowned RockSearch (2025)—which has launched acts like Finger Eleven, The Trews, and The Glorious Sons—and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Battle of the Bands (2025), continuing to build serious momentum across Canada. Their new single Meet You There was recorded in Kingston, produced by Jay Emmons (The Glorious Sons) and engineered by Steve Kierstein (The Glorious Sons). Meet You There is a modern rock song balancing familiar nostalgia and energetic urgency, driven by a memorable hook and poignant vocal moments. The band is currently touring in support of the release while writing and recording their sophomore album, following their 2025 debut LP Through The Noise. With explosive live shows and a fast-growing passionate fanbase, Small-Town Strip Club is positioning themselves as one of Canada’s most exciting emerging rock acts.
