At GO Rock we’ve noticed it too. The tools that were supposed to help us stay connected to our local community are increasingly burying the people and pages we actually chose to follow.

It’s not your imagination: the Facebook algorithm has fundamentally shifted. It has moved away from being a "social network" and toward being an "entertainment engine."

The "Suggested" Takeover: Facebook’s current priority is keeping you on the app as long as possible. To do that, it pushes content it thinks will grab your attention, even if it has nothing to do with your real-life friends or the local businesses you care about.

Taking Back Your Feed
If you’re tired of the "Suggested" noise, there are a few ways to fight back:

The "Feeds" Tab: On your mobile app, look for the "Feeds" shortcut. It allows you to view a chronological list of posts only from your friends, groups, and pages you follow.

Favourites: Add Go Rock and your close friends to your "Favourites" list in your settings to give them a fighting chance against the algorithm.

Go Analog: Turn off the screen and turn on the radio.
