The Millennium Time Capsule has been opened in Lunenburg. As part of the birthday celebrations on Saturday, the capsule that was buried in 2000, was unearthed. Inside were perfectly preserved letters, year books, class photos and some VHS and cassette tapes. Over the next few weeks the items will be on display if the original owners don’t claim them. In the fall a new time capsule will be buried, to be opened during Lunenburg’s 300th birthday.
