Royal Norwegian Navy Band in Lunenburg

The Royal Norwegian Navy Band is coming to Lunenburg !! 
The Royal Norwegian Navy Band is coming to Lunenburg on June 30th. This is the first time the band will be in Nova Scotia when they perform at the 2025 Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.  While in Nova Scotia, the Royal Norwegian Navy Band is spending a day in Lunenburg to honour the friendships developed at Camp Norway, to commemorate their departed comrades who are laid to rest here, and to celebrate with the people of Lunenburg. Everyone is invited to the day’s events, which will include:
•    A brief commemoration at the former site of Camp Norway at 10:00 am. 
•    A brief outdoor performance at The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic Wharf at 10:30 am. 
•    A march from the FMA Wharf to the Town of Lunenburg Cenotaph at 10:45 am for a brief commemoration at the Norwegian monument at 11:00 am. 
•    A visit to Hillcrest Cemetery to honour the graves of the Norwegians laid to rest there at 1:00 pm. 
•    A free concert open to everyone at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2:00 pm.
