A new Pope has been elected by the conclave in Vatican City. Robert Prevost took the name Pope Leo the 14th after being elected as the first American Pope from the United States in the Catholic Church's 2,000-year history. In his first message, he spoke of peace and dialogue without fear and gave a blessing from St. Peter’s Basilica.
