Council has approved $750,000 for the Lunenburg Academy Roof Repairs Project. The money is allocated in the 2025/26 capital budget. The decision allows the Town to issue a construction tender in May and begin work during the 2025 construction season. The planned repairs address ongoing leaks and deterioration, including full replacement of cedar shingles on sloped roof areas and installation of new valleys and flashings. These upgrades are expected to extend the roof’s lifespan by 25–30 years while maintaining its heritage character.
