His comments come after the country’s premiers met with Prime Minister Mark Carney earlier this week. Houston says he has “tremendous confidence” in the prime minister to negotiate strategically. He says he is not concerned about the August 1st deadline to have a deal in place, saying he wants to focus on the best deal rather than a date, so nothing is given up.
