Premier Tim Houston is facing some backlash after missing the Halifax Pride parade for the second year in a row. Houston’s office says they were on a waitlist for the celebration and Halifax Pride confirms they were on a waitlist because their application had been received too late. Both the NDP and Liberals were in the parade. Houston missed last year’s event because he says the RCMP had warned of disruptions from protesters and possible safety issues.
